I'm so excited to announce that I will be an ambassador on the Young Adult team to Recife, Brazil. The goal is to help the church in Recife attract young adults eager to improve their conversational English. The LST sessions will be in small groups in a retreat setting to allow for intentional conversations with people who share our common interests and passions.
This will be my 2nd LST trip, in 2015 I represented The Longhorns for Christ team in Campamento, Honduras & Córdoba, Argentina. Both were life changing experiences and I am excited to do international mission work again.
I’m a part of a Let’s Start Talking project because I want to share Jesus and share myself with people who might not know Him. Let’s Start Talking has been recruiting, training, and sending workers around the world for over 35 years. Each year thousands of people desiring to improve their English register to read stories from Luke, which often leads to life-changing conversations with an LST Worker. This year I get to be one of those Workers!
Since 1980, Let's Start Talking has been equipping and sending Christians into non-English speaking communities for the purpose of facilitating life-changing conversations. Since its inception in the home of Dr. Mark and Sherrylee Woodward, the worldwide demand for LST has continued to grow, first throughout Europe, and then in Asia, South America, and Africa. Let’s Start Talking’s mission and passion is to pursue Christ’s Great Commission by empowering Christians to advance the Kingdom of God in their communities and throughout the world.
As part of the LST mission team, I have committed to raise funds for the ministry. This money is used then to fund the recruiting, development, and support of all LST team members, as well as travel and project costs. Please give generously today and be a part of my team! And please pray for me and for my teammates that everything we do will bring glory to God.
