I’m a part of a Let’s Start Talking project because I want to share Jesus and share myself with people who might not know Him. Let’s Start Talking has been recruiting, training, and sending workers around the world for over 35 years.  Each year thousands of people desiring to improve their English register to read stories from Luke, which often leads to life-changing conversations with an LST Worker.  This year I get to be one of those Workers! In all my previous missions experiences, I have yet to face any language barriers between myself and those who I am speaking to. Trying to share the Gospel with children who don't understand English will be a new and challenging task, but I look forward to seeing the Holy Spirit permeating cultural and linguistic barriers and reaching those in need of the Lord! We will be teaching English and sharing the Gospel with refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, and other Middle Eastern nations. In a world where the subjects of accepting refugees and figuring out how to "deal" with them is an intense and sensitive one, I have to the opportunity to show them the love of Christ! This is an awesome opportunity! I pray that it expands my personal perspective on other cultures and people, and helps me to push forward in my pursuit of seeing ALL of the people that inhabit this earth as made in His image. However, to do this type of work requires funding. Anything helps, and will make a difference! I ask that you pray about it before you donate, and ask God if this is what he wants you to do! More than anything I ask for prayer for the entire team, that we may put aside our selfishness, throw ourselves into uncomfortable positions, and work hard to see God's name glorified in a culture and place where many don't even know of Him.
