I’m a part of a Let’s Start Talking project because I want to share Jesus and share myself with people who might not know Him. Let’s Start Talking has been recruiting, training, and sending workers around the world for over 35 years. Each year thousands of people desiring to improve their English register to read stories from Luke, which often leads to life-changing conversations with an LST Worker. This year I get to be one of those Workers!
This summer I have been blessed with the opportunity to go on a Let’s Start Talking (LST) mission trip. LST sends Christians to non-English speaking countries to help people practice their English using the Gospel of Luke. This is a unique opportunity to get to know college-aged people from another culture and have life-changing conversation.
I will be traveling to Łódź, Poland, this summer from June 28th to July 13th with a couple from my home church whom I also went on an LST trip to Hungary with back in 2015. I will also be going with one of my best friends I’ve met while attending Oklahoma Christian University. Łódź is a former industrial center located in the central part of Poland, about 90 minutes west of Warsaw. The third largest city in the country, Łódź has a population of almost 700,000. The local missionaries have hosted many LST teams in the last couple of years and have witnessed a tremendous demand for English. Through my college experience, I’ve had a lot of personal growth and immense spiritual growth and want to share my faith while helping people make the most of their lives with a knowledge of English.

Since its inception in the home of Dr. Mark and Sherrylee Woodward, the worldwide demand for LST has continued to grow, first throughout Europe, and then in Asia, South America, and Africa. Let’s Start Talking’s mission and passion is to pursue Christ’s Great Commission by empowering Christians to advance the Kingdom of God in their communities and throughout the world.
As part of the LST mission team, I have committed to raise funds for the ministry.
